Project involved consruction of insitu concrete circular store 104M diameter on odex piles socketed 2M into rock strata.Some is made from light weight aluminium with a very good weight to strength balance. Tunnel at base of dome has a conveyer for bringing limestone to kiln. A precast underground escape tunnel was constructed made of precast units. Work had to be completed to a very tight schedule of 10wks. Main quantites involved were 1600M3 of concrete, 250T of rebar, 4,000M2 of shuttering, 1500M of odex piles and 66M of 1.80M, 2.40M of precast intake tunnel.
